In a surprise moment of absolute denial about the slug-like nature of his rapidly declining physique (which hasn't actually broken a sweat in 4 years), Brian "The Spark" Gilmore challenged Jonathan "The Bullet" London (whose back breaks a sweat 24/7) to a footrace at the 1st Annual Geekscape Picnic. This could go down as the event of the year. Place your bets. Dates still to be determined.

The Forums are Down!

Today I woke up to Big Yanks crying over IM that the forums were down. NetRiver did some maintenance and we are putting them back up as soon as we can. A file went here. We went there. It's getting fixed.

Don't worry. I told Gilmore that it's almost refreshing to have a few hours without the forums helping me procrastinate and ruin my life.

And once they're back we're going to have a bit of news regarding the picnic.

New Suburban Legends video with Hank and Cheese!

The Suburban Legends asked Vijay and I to make a music video for them. They didn't have a lot of money but this still goes to show that you can make a fun video for just $65 as long as your actors are free. And my actors were definitely free. And they are my two favorite actors in the world! I just saw these guys again Thursday night and love their music. And you might remember them as the band that made the old Geekdrome theme song. We've got a new theme song coming soon from Steve in Punchline!

The iTunes and Democracy player downloads are WAY HEALTHY! If you guys can keep up the suggestions it'll really help as we design a new permanent non-Digg lookin' site for all you guys! And yeah... forums are first this time! WHOOOOHOOO!!!!

What in the HELL is going on with Geekscape!?!

What the hell is going on with Geekscape...? Hmm... well... it's a pretty long story... a lot of it is told in Episode 24 (to be released late on Tuesday). But basically, the site went bye bye. Permanently? We're still finding that out regarding the old site.

But we were fixing to build a new site anyways right!?!

I couldn't be more excited about Geekscape right now. We're still shooting episodes. The iTunes feeds just went live again and we're bringing in a new team to reimagine everything and make it a more kick ass site then we had!

Is it going to take time? Yes.

Do we have time? Definitely.

Will we always be on Blogspot? HELL NO.
